The best mo’s of all time

The best mo’s of all time

As Movember draws to a close, it’s only fitting that we celebrate the some of the best moustaches of all time.

From the sophisticated to the downright crazy, we’ve put together a sample of mo’s make us laugh and inspire.

The Undercover Brother

The granddaddy of all moustaches, The Undercover Brother is a classic, timeless and widely recognised mo. Synonymous with a rugged manliness and a touch of gentlemanly suave, this moustache was made popular by Tom Selleck and of course, Ron Swanson from Parks and Recreation.

Tom Selleck dapper as always.

The Handlebar

A bold facial hair statement, the Handlebar moustache is not one for the faint-hearted. According to The Handlebar Club in London, this style is defined as “a hirsute appendage of the upper lip, with graspable extremities.” A mo synonymous with the wild west, infamous Australians and Hulk Hogan, there’s no messing around with this bad-boy.

The Connoisseur

Did someone say dapper? Sophistication? Mystery? The Connoisseur is all of these things and more. Elegant and refined, this moustache is suited to the classic gentleman who resides in a grand manor, smokes a pipe and wears a maroon dressing gown day in and day out. Identified by a classic curl at each end, it has been seen in every fictional British detective show.

The Connoisseur is facial hair for the refined gentleman.

The Downright Crazy

Credit where credit is due, we perused the archives of 2011 World Beard & Moustache Championship and found this guy, Elmar Weisser, sporting an elaborate facial hair sculpture of a moose. To that we say, “touche sir, touche.”

Showing us how facial hair can be a work of art, Elmar Weisser.
